Upon its purchase from Woody Barnes in 2023, SignCo (also known as
Sign Company of Fort Worth, Texas) became Lindmark Steel, an integral
division of The Lindmark Companies. Lindmark Steel proudly continues
SignCo’s long-standing tradition of fabricating and constructing
high-quality off-premises signs.
Since the mid-1960s, Woody has been fabricating, erecting, and
installing signs—beginning with on-premises signage before shifting
exclusively to off-premises structures. Over his career, he estimates he
has built more than 10,500 signs. As Woody began considering
retirement, Lindmark recognized that his decades of knowledge,
craftsmanship, and leadership were invaluable. This led to the
acquisition of SignCo—now Lindmark Steel—and Woody’s continued
involvement as a mentor, guiding and sharing his expertise with the
teams at Lindmark Steel and Lindmark Billboards.
Today, Lindmark Steel plays a vital role in supporting the ongoing
expansion of Lindmark Billboards. As our Land Lease Department
continues to identify and secure new billboard locations, the demand for
high-quality steel structures and reliable construction has never been
greater. By vertically integrating fabrication and installation within The
Lindmark Companies, we are able to accelerate market growth while
maintaining our commitment to engineering excellence and long-term
durability.
